The project focused on incrementally modernizing IBM WebSphere Commerce and migrating functional modules into AWS-based microservices. Each functional module was mapped, reverse engineered, and transitioned individually while maintaining seamless integration with the core platform. The retail application remained fully operational and publicly accessible throughout the migration process.
For over five decades, UK police crime records were maintained on a legacy mainframe system. This project focused on modernizing the Police National Computer (PNC) by migrating it to a cloud-native, AWS-based microservices platform known as the Law Enforcement Data Service (LEDS). The initiative also included the migration and integration of approximately 45 existing PNC data interfaces into the new LEDS platform.
This platform modernization initiative delivered an enterprise-wide data platform that consolidates data from multiple source systems. Built on Azure-based technologies, the solution incorporates core data warehouse capabilities such as high-volume data ingestion, robust error handling, auditing, and data reconciliation.
Designed and built a cloud-agnostic, containerized application platform by decomposing a monolithic system into business-aligned microservices. Integrated the newly created services into a scalable microservices architecture and enabled polyglot persistence by decentralizing data stores. This approach improved application agility, scalability, and deployment speed while supporting faster release cycles and operational resilience.
